Portugal. The Man

Lately I went to the Portugal. The Man concert the 22 February and it was the first I was able to shoot with my new SRL Canon 40D because I got a photopass. It was great and I learnt a lot. The concert was amazing and here are some photos I shot. Hope you like them.

Beyoncé

The one and only Beyoncé Knowles. She is one of the most talanted singers and preformers I've ever seen. Her presence is amazing I mean she has to do this show day after day but it feels very fresh. Her gril band was amazing aswell they rocked the stage. Once Beyoncé began to cry druing a song what was very impressive.

Amy Winehouse at Rock Werchter

Amy Winehouse is one of my all time favourtie artists of all time. Her voice and her musical skills are just unbelievable. These shots I took in Belgium at the Rock Werchter Festival and that was one of her better concerts although she came 20 minutes too late and only played like 40 minutes. I saw her in Switzerland at the Volkshaus and I won't post any pictures of that concert because it was really terrible. She cried like the whole show and she was so on drugs that she couldn't sing her own songs. I could have cried to see somebody to destroy himself like that. But let's hope she gets well very soon that she can make us happy with the best music in the future. Thanks Amy

Openair St. Gallen

Vom 27. bis 29. Juni 2008 geht im Sittertobel zum 32. Mal das OpenAir St. Gallen über seine Bühnen. Während die programmliche Ausrichtung sowie die Ticketpreise (3-Tagespass 144 Fr.) unverändert bleiben, sorgen in anderen Bereichen verschiedene Veränderungen für neue Impulse, so zum Beispiel beim Umweltschutz. So wird der Gesamte Strombedarf der Sternenbühne durch Solarstrom gedeckt und des Weiteren wird ein Depot auf das Geschirr eingeführt.

Für alle Fussballfans die auf keinen Fall einen Match der EM verpassen dürfen, gibt es eine Übertragung des Halbfinales und die Konzerte am Sonntag enden schon um 19.00, damit man genügend Zeit hat, um sich vor einem Bildschirm einzurichten.

Meiner Meinung nach gibt es wohl kein zweites Festival, dass so viel Charme und Freundlichkeit ausstrahlt wie das Openair St. Gallen. Ich kann es jedem wärmstens empfehlen.

Ausserdem überzeugt das Openair SG jedes Jahr erneut mit seinem gelungen Programm, welches am 12. März erscheinen wird. Wenn man sich die Bandgeschichte des Openair St.Gallen's anschaut, so trifft man auf Namen wie:

Incubus 17.09.07 Maageventhall

Yeah Incubus is a real fantastic band. Before the concert I was able to go to a meet&greet with the guys and it was really funny. A bit short but they gave ever on every single peace you wanted an autograph and after we they took a group photo. That was a lot of fun. If you have the chance go to a concert!

Joss Stone 22.07.07 Gurtenfestival

Joss Stone has such a powerful voice and she can sing live! wow I saw her three times last year and every concert was great...the only sad thing about her show is that she never sings longer than an one hour. This photos are of her show at the Gurtenfestival in Bern.

Erykah Badu 9.07.06 Cactusfestival Belgium

Erykah Badu was headliner at the Cactusfestival in Belgium in 2006. Erykah is one of my favourite artist. I've never seen an artist which is so professional and sexy as Erykah Badu. I saw her again in Switzerland and she had that huge afro.  Her new album is coming out on February 26. It's called New Amerykah and I posted the cover of the album. I'm really looking forward to the album.
